Just a few weeks back before writing this post, Tiktok has rolled out its Edutok Program. I’ll show you step by step how you can join the program. First of all open, the TikTok app and then, open the discovery tab. Here on the discover tab, you can see a banner of The Edutok Program – Get Supported for sharing your Knowledge. Click the button CLICK NOW.
Then, a screen will open up which will display the details about the Edutok Program. You can read the stuff and information about it. The part which I loved the most about the program is that TikTok is investing $10 Billion in it. This program is basically to encourage creators to put out more educational and inspiring content on the platform.
So, in The Edutok Program, there are 3 options: Independent Creator, Commercial Partner, DigitalMCN. According to me, MCN is for Multi-Channel Network here. So, you can just read all the information about each and everything here and you can see which one suits you the best.
The other best part is that now creators can monetize their videos also. You can see more about it registering the program – Monetization Support – Help Monetize your content via in house monetization program. And you’ll be getting all the features and stuff along with monetization, you know pro account features and all that stuff.
So, like if you’re an independent creator, move to the Independent creator tab. Scroll over and click on Sign Up now! Then, you can select the category in which you’re making videos – Language, Career/Entrepreneurship/OfficeSkills, Tech, Motivation and Advice, Tutorials, Science and Facts, Exam, Life Hacks, Fitnessand Health, History/Art/Culture, Other.
So, you have to select the category which suits you the most. Like for me, it’s Career/Entrepreneurship and Office Skills. And if you have 5000+ followers on Instagram, YouTube or Twitter you can leave your social media handle here. For me it’s @digitalabhi_, and currently, I don’t have 5000+ followers on Instagram.
But still, I will give it a try maybe I get accepted. And if I don’t get accepted I will then first cross 5000 followers and then I will apply again on it. Then in the next tab, you have to fill the number of followers right now you have on TikTok. For me at the time of writing this post, I have 29 followers. So, I will just fill 29.
That’s it you can just fill all the three options and process to the next step. On the next step, you will be asked to make a short video about your content. And I think on that basis your application will be accepted or rejected.
You must have also seen that in the past few months Tiktok’s growth has been exploded. And now it is one of the most popular apps on the App Store and Play Store. So, why Tiktok is so Popular? Check it out.
